LongBarn Home For Sale - Gallery of Progress
Progress Report: 26 July 2018
It's all go in the spec home at the moment and the exciting stage has begun: fittings and finishing! The painting is complete, with a restful neutral theme throughout and a splash of colour to the main bathroom (see details below). The laminate flooring has also been laid in the main living and wet areas and the bedrooms are ready for installation of our beautiful new Silk Road carpet. The kitchen cabinetry has been fitted and installation of the stunning lightly marbled Primestone bench tops in the kitchen and scullery, is happening during the next week or so. So keep watching this space!
Options for splash back tiles are endless! However, we've finally narrowed the selection down to the three choices above. A rustic timber look tile, a classic white herringbone or a gloss fish scale mosaic for something elegant yet a little different. Cast your vote for tile 1, 2 or 3 on Elevate's Facebook page and check back in the next few weeks to see the winning result!

The spec home has been a cosy spot to visit over the past few days, with heaters blasting to dry the newly applied plaster. Once the interior is dry as a bone the painting begins! We're keeping it subtle and sophisticated with the ever popular Resene Black/ White throughout most of the home but creating a splash of elegant drama in the main bathroom with Resene Cloud. Watch this space!
Progress Report: June 1st 2018
On this icy June morning our hardworking builders are finishing off the exterior Cedar cladding - Brrrrrr! Things are warming up, however, in the building interior with the installation of the Mammoth insulation. If you're a bit of an insulation buff, Mammoth is touted as the 'modern sustainable choice' as it includes fibres from recycled plastic bottles, are Red List Free and 100% recyclable. The fact that it's made here in New Zealand is also a bonus in our eyes.
Stay tuned for the next exciting phase of the build - Lining the ceiling...
